Overview

Chardham yatra will start with Yamunotri Dham which is one of the holiest destinations in the world located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. You will also visit Gangotri, Badrinath, and Kedarnath which hold immense importance for the devotees.

Itinerary

List of 10 days itinery:-

On arrival at haridwar railway station and meet our representative who will welcome you warmly and make the arrangements to transfer you to Brakot via Mussorie. 

Mussorie- It is also known as ” The Queen of the Mountains”. It’s range offers views of a valley of Dehradun and snow filled up mountains of the Great Himalayan Ranges. The next stop is Hanuman Chatti, a small village famous for cave temples.

 Barkot is situated on the Yamuna river bank and is one of the best destinations of Uttrakhand. It is situated an elevation of 1220 metres above the sea level. It receives water from two holy rivers, namely Ganga and Yamuna. Barkot is one of the easily view magnificent peak of Banderpoonch and adventure destination for nature lovers.

Overnight at Cottage.

After breakfast, we will drive to Janki – Chatti by car. The trek from Yamunotri Temple, which is 6 km per side. We have a option either walk, hire pony, by doli at our own cost. The source of river Yamuna and the dwelling place of the goddess of the name same. On reach the yamunotri, we can take a part of worship in the temple. Visit the temple and the sacred thermal springs. The most famous Thermal Lake is named as The Surya Kund. In the evening return back to Barkot. Overnight at Cottage.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and leave for uttarkashi. On arrival at Uttarkashi, check into the hotel.

Later visit the famous kashi vishwanath temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The first temple on this site was founded by Parashurama.

Overnight at Resort.

After breakfast, we will proceed for gangotri. On the way, we explore the Harshil Valley and th ehot spings in Ganganani. The most sacred river of the Ganges of the Indians begins where the three sacred mountain streams merges like Alaknanda, Mandakini, Bhagirath. They all originate in the glaciers of the Garhwal Himalayas. This place is known as “Gomukh”. Gomukh is the village of Gangotri , where the statue of Ganga Devi lives in the temple. This is a beautiful place and most prominent for hindus. 

Gangotri – It is situated an elevation of 3200 metres surrounded by deodar and pines. It is believed that Raja Bhagirath used to worship Shiva on a slab of rock “Bhagirath Shila” situated near the temple. Submerged in the river there is a natural Shivling where, according to mythology, Lord Shiva sat when he received the Goddess Ganga in his matted locks. A number of ashrams and dharamshalas are located on the other side of the river. In the evening we back to Uttarkashi. Overnight at Resort. 

Guptkashi – It is also known as ” Hidden Kashi”. A city of temples with beautiful views of the snowy peaks, located in the himalyas. It is believed that the Pandavas after the Battle of Kuruksetra, described in the Mahabharata, wanted to atone for Shiva. He wanted to avoid meeting them at Kashi and went to Guptakashi in the form of a bull, Nandi. Bhima exposed the deity, and the brothers tried to grab the bull by the tail and paws, but he disappeared into the cave to return to five different forms of Shiva. Overnight at Cottage.

Early morning, we will drive to Sonprayag parking over 2kms to Gaurikund by using local transport & Trek to Kedarnath.

Kedarnath Temple – This temple is approx 1000 years old temple with a carved exterior is located in a courtyard by Nandi Bull. This spot has great significance in the legendary Mahabharata epic. The temple has carved shapes of the Pandavas and Lord Shiva. Inside the main sanctum is one of the 12 naturally formed ‘Jyotirlingas’ of India. Overnight at Guest House.

In the morning darshan, check out & down trek to Gaurikund and drive to Guptkashi. Check in to the hotel and rest up.

Overnight at Cottage.

After breakfast, we will transfer to Badrinath.

Badrinath – It is a village located at an altitude of 3133m, protected by the mountains of Nara and Narayana on the bank of the Alakananda River. It is associated with the ancient tradition, according to which, Lord Vishnu performed austerity in this place. In order to save her husband from the scorching rays of the sun, the goddess Lakshmi took the form of a tree of Vishala-Badari, hiding the god under the shade of the branches. Satisfied with the devotion of a consort, Lord Vishnu said that from now on this place would bear her name. . This is due to extreme weather conditions in the Himalayas. At the entrance to the temple are the sacred hot springs. Those interested can visit the village Manna. It is the last village of India. After this village Indo – Tibetan Border starts. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed from Rishikesh. Rishikesh is nestled by lower Himalayan range and silvery flow of river Ganga. The town is a major centre of spirituality and Hindu pilgrimage. Attend Ganga Arti ceremony at Triveni Ghat Rishikesh. Several temples dot the banks of the Ganges here in Rishikesh. Since ages, Yogi’s & Sadhus lived and practiced Hinduism. The beatles came here and learn meditation. Transferred to the railway station for onward destination.

Note:

  • Kedarnath Temple open from May to Oct month.
  • Badrinath Temple open only for April to Oct month.
  • UK and EC citizens require a visa to visit India.
  • Hotel check in and check out time is 14:00 hrs and 12:00 hrs.
  • Registration of the passenger is necessary for Char Dham Yatra by Government as Free of Cost, we required Id proofs and Photograph of all passensgers.
  • Due to holy land, Non- Vegetraian Food is strictly not allowed.
  • Local transport is required for Kedarnath Trek from Sonprayag to Gorikund.
  • Transports will go till Badrinath & Gangotri Temples with little walking distances.

  • If booking is 30 days in advance from the travel date: Advance of 15% of the package cost required
  • If booking is between 30 days to 15 days in advance from the travel date: Advance of 30% of the package cost is required
  • If travel is within 15 days of the travel date: We will require 100% payment.

Cancellation Policy

  • If booking is 15 days before the travel date: 100% refund for Domestic Packages.
  • if booking is 30 days before the travel date: 100% refund for International Packages.
  • Between 30 days to 15 date before the travel date 10% of the total cost will be deducted on International Packages.
  • Between 15 days to 1 Day before the travel date: 100% cancellation on Domestic & International Packages.
